Begin your day when greeting by your fun tour guide at your accommodation (Cairns CBD area from 6.50am to 7.15am, Northern Beaches from 7.20am and Port Douglas area from 8.20am). You will then drive north along the scenic coastal route of the Captain Cook Highway, learning about the history of the area and admiring spectacular views of the coastline and Coral Sea.
The first stop is at the Majestic Daintree River for morning tea, before enjoying an informative guided river cruise. Relax and enjoy the splendor that only the Daintree can offer, as you learn of Estuarine Crocodiles, mangrove forests and endemic wildlife, this is nature at its best!
From here you will ascend the Alexandra Range and pause for panoramic views of World Heritage, wet tropics, and tropical rainforest, merging with the azure colours of the Coral Sea. Experience the rainforest intimately on one of the guided elevated National Park boardwalks. Accurate interpretations of flora and fauna you will be given with ample time for photographs and questions as you search for the elusive, rare and totally unique Southern Cassowary and other wildlife species within this particular habitat.
Now make your way to Lync Haven, an animal refuge centre, where you have the opportunity to hand feed a kangaroo and get up close to some of Australias native wildlife. See Boris the crocodile, and enjoy delicious gourmet BBQ lunch, with freshly prepared salads in a beautiful rainforest setting restaurant.
Your journey takes you beyond the famous Daintree Tea Plantation, past spectacular mountains and through spectacular World Heritage Rainforest, as you pass Cape Tribulation and continue along the 4WD Bloomfield Track through to pristine Emmagen Creek. Billy Tea Safaris is the only tour operator that goes to this secret jewel in the rainforest. Take the time for a refreshing rainforest stream swim, in crystal clear fresh waters and without the crowds of other travelers.
You will then make your way to Cape Tribulation Beach after most of the crowds are gone, there is a little time to swim in the Coral Sea (seasonal) or stroll along the beach and boardwalk to the photographers platform overlooking the mountains and coast where the Rainforest meets the Reef.
Time permitting, you will stop at Daintrees hidden secret, the Daintree Ice Cream Factory. Your taste buds will be tantalized with exotic tropical fruit home made ice cream, all fruits are locally grown.
After a short afternoon refreshment stop, you will cross the Daintree River by cable ferry and begin your homeward journey, somewhat wiser for your Total Rainforest Experience.
Arrive back at your accommodation approx Port Douglas 5.30pm, Northern Beaches approx 6.00pm, Cairns CBD Area approx 6.30pm.

Department of Transport Regulations state seat belts are compulsory for all passengers and infants and must be worn at all times. Billy Tea Safaris reserves the right to alter or cancel itineraries due to weather conditions, flooding or other factors beyond the control of the operator, no refund will be given in these circumstances or in the event of any delay. All departures and itineraries are subject to weather. Tours may be changed or cancelled for any reason at the discretion of the Tour Operator. It should be noted that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard clients, we cannot be responsible for personal injury or loss due to actions of our clients which are beyond our control. We recommend that all clients have travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss or damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on the confirmed date of departure. Please be aware operators pass on credit card merchant fees so there is a non-refundable 2.5% surcharge for VISA, MASTERCARD and AMEX card purchases.
All client cancellations forfeit 25% of total ticket price and all client cancellations made less than 21 days prior to departure will result in complete forfeiture of the full price of the tour or package. If the tour operator has to cancel the trip or activity (prior to the departure) and we cannot offer a suitable alternative, then a refund will be given minus card fees. We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance, especially during the wet season.
